as you may or may not know, i’ve started back up with what i would call my “home” company - chopshop in irvine, california. after a couple jobs elsewhere, i was offered a full-time position at chopshop as a junior producer. i decided to take it on, and, so far, it’s been a solid serving of more responsibility, more creative control, and, with that said, more dedication on my part.
one of the projects that pushed me in the running for this position was a brand reel for boost mobile, the hip nextel sister company that aims to brand itself in action sports, urban culture, and creative thought. this is that brand reel.
the book animations were done by a small graphics company in irvine called wicked liquid. they’re well known for producing the opening credits for the tracy morgan show. they are, without a doubt, very good at what they do, especially under heated deadlines other than that, it was long days and extremely long nights put in by myself, and chopshop creative director and good friend zach lyons to pull this one off.
so, check it out, and come back very soon for my latest project under chopshop’s creative umbrella, the jeremy jones/harley davidson ride featuring music from friends dustin and graham lovelis’ long beach-based band the fling.
